The Stadthuys
Builts in 1650 as the official residence of Dutch Governors and their offers, the edifice is a example of Dutch architecture. Perserved in its original structure and form, it now houses the History Museum and Ethnography Museum. On display daily are traditional bridal costumes and relics from Melaka's glorious past. 
Christ Church
Standing exactly as it has always been since 1753, the church is testimony to Dutch architectural ingenuity. Take note of the church's handmade pews, ceiling beams contructed without joiints, Brass Bible, tombstone written in Amenian and 'Last Supper' in glazed tiles.
Clock Tower
The brick-red clock tower is located at Dutch Square, close to the similarly hued Christ Church and the Stadyhuys. Tan Beng Swee, a rich Malaccan philanthropist, donated the clock which imported from England in 1886.
A' Famosa
The hallmark of Melaka and perhaps the most photographed subject next to the Stadhuys. Built by Portuguese in 1511 as a fortress it sustained severe structural damage during the Dutch invasion. The Dutch had set to destroy it but timely intervention by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1808 saved what remains of A' Famosa today.
St. Paul's Church
Built by a Portugese captain by the name of Duarte Coelho. The chapel was turned by the Dutch into a burial ground for their noble dead and renamed 'St. Paul's Church' from the Portuguese's 'Our Lady of the Hill'. St Francis Xavier was briefly enshrined in the open grave in 1553 before being shipped to Goa, India.
Melaka Sultanate Palace
Built based on the description and reference to the palace in the Malay Annals, the wooden replica house the Cultural Museum of Melaka. Situated at the foot of St. Paul's Hill, it is the only Malay palace from Melaka's glorious past built with such detail and refinement.
Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum
'Straits Chinese' or the Baba and Nyonya, are Chinese who have adopted much of the Malay culture. The public can now view the unique heritage at the private museum run by the Babas and Nyonya of Melaka.
Chitty Museum
The Chitty Museum is a new enterprise of the Chitty community to document their unique heritage. Among the exhibits are colourfully-designed traditional water-pots, multi-tiered brass oil-lamps, serving trays, sculptures, handicrafts and photographs.
Cheng Ho Cultural Museum
A place with comprehensive and fascinating displays of the history of Melaka and Admiral Cheng Ho 600 years ago. The concepts of the Museum adopts a non-conventional and immersive approach. It's design employs multimedia, interactive, hands-on techniques and presents a historical perspective. The museum serves to provide an educational experience for both adults and children.
Maritime Museum
The museum is constructed after 'Flor De La Mar'. The Portuguese galleon sank in the Straits of Melaka on its way to Portugal. With her hull laden with invaluable treasures seized from Melaka, the galleon was doomed from existencehad it not for the efforts to revive its symbolic significance to Melaka heritage. At the museum, there are exhibits of foreign ships models that had once called at the port of Melaka during the height of its maritime hegemony.
Kampung Chitty
Chittys are Straits-born Indians and offsprings of Indian traders who came from Panai. These people embrace the Hindu faith and practice a dogmatic type of Hinduism while their yearly Mariamman Festival or 'Pesta Datuk Charchar' in May is a true celebration that last for a week. They eat the typical Indian food and practice the traditional Indian wedding ceremony. 
Portuguese Settlement
You can find descendants of the 16th century Portuguese here in this settlement. The widespread inter-marriages between the European sailors and soldiers with local women have brought about the birth of a rich new culture. For an exotic experience of Portuguese festivals and celebrations, do not forget to visit the settlement when you're in Melaka.
Villa Sentosa (Kampung Morten)
The house, built during the first quarter of the century in the style fashionable during the era, has been converted by its owner, Tuan Hj. Hashim bin Dato Demang Hj. Abdul Ghani, into a private museum. Located in Kampung Morten, which is the only Malay village in the heart of Melaka city, the house has a history that goes back to the British Land Reform Act 1920. Visitors can view intriguing collection of costumes, Malay embroidery,furnitures, muskets and an array of interesting relics. As for curator, the owner would be glad to play the role from whom visitors can ask additional information.
Bukit China
As the name implies, 'Chinese Hill' was the official settlement of the Chinese entourage that arrived with Princess Hang Li Poh. She was sent to Melaka by the Emporor to marry the Sultan to mark the advent of diplomatic relation between Melaka and China. The entourage stayed on this settlement until Portuguese occupation in 1511. Today Bukit China is the largest cemetery outside China with many of the tombs dating back to Ming Dynasty.
Hang Li Poh's Well
Built in 1459 by the followers of Hang Li Poh, the Chinese princess who marry to the Sultan Melaka. The well never dries up during the days of old and was the only source of water supply during great droughts. The Dutch enclosed it with stout walls in 1677 to maintain ultimate right to the well. It has been turned into a wishing well and it is said that those whi throw coins into it will return to Melaka time and again.
Sri Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Temple
One of the first Hindu temples built in the country at the turn of the century. It was built on the plot given by the Dutch.
Kampung Kling's Mosque
One of the oldest mosques in the country with Sumatran architectural features. Instead of a Conventional dome, a three-tier roof rising like a pyramid is in place. A minaret peculliar in shape from a typical moorish style, is structured like a Pagoda, potraying a mixture of East-West architectural influence.
Cheng Hoon Teng Temple
The oldest Chinese temple in the country. It was built in 1646 with materials shipped out of China. Fine workmanship is evident in the ornately decorated mythological figures, carvings and lacquer work inside the temple.
Poh San Teng Temple
The temple is situated at the foot of Bukit China. Built in 1795 by Kapitan Tsai Shih Chang. Within the premises of the temple is the famous well, San Pao Ching or Perigi Raja subject to many legends and stories.

A stupendous theme complex to enable visitors to view the traditional house of the 13 states of Malaysia on a single visit. The complex displays life-size authentic houses of Malaysia crafted by master builders. Each house has been furnished with corresponding elements, adding ambience of originality that capture the houses in their traditional setting.

You will be shown the different processes, such as casting, filing, polishing, soldering, hammering and engraving during this factory tour. Our last stop will be at the limestone hills of Batu Caves that comprises of three caverns and several smaller caves. A DAY IN RAINFOREST
‘Back to nature’
The tour will expose you to the real feeling of being in the tropical rainforest of Malaysia, a guided tour by an expert on Malaysian jungle. This specially designed program is to introduce you to the wonders and the beauty of a primary tropical rainforest all in a day while staying in Kuala Lumpur.
The journey to the tropical rainforest in the outskirts of the city, will take approximately an hour. Along the way you pass through typical Malay Villagers and scenes of friendly people going about their daily chores. Our first stop on the way is the aboriginal museum. Among the displays are weapons used for hunting , clothing made from free barks, traditional musical instruments etc. An introduction of the place and activities will be carried out immediately on arrival before proceeding with jungle trekking by identifying various fruit trees. Test your skill with the blowpipe shooting or fishing (catch and release) at the nearby fresh water pond using the bamboo rod or simply take a dip in the nearby river or in the swimming. Lunch will be served at the jungle resort.

‘More than 580 years of history’
Visit St. Peter’s Church (1710) – the oldest Christian Church still in use in Malaysia. Drive past the largest 17th century Chinese cemetery outside of China, located at Bukit China or Chinese Hill. Stop at the foothill to view the Sultan’s Well before driving through the Portuguese Settlement.
Proceed to view the famous gateway. ‘Port De Santiago’ and the ruins of St. Paul’s Church lined by 17th century Dutch tombstones. Next on the list is “Red Square” – the salmon pink Dutch administrative buildings which today house the Malacca Museum and government offices. Visit Christchurch before proceeding for lunch, we visit the ‘Abode Merciful Clouds’ or the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple – the only temple where you can find 3 major doctrines of local Chinese belief under the same roof, viz : Taoim, Buddhism and Confucianism. Take a stroll along Malacca’s Jonker Street, which ends by the banks of the Malacca river.

‘Fun and educational’
We begin our tour with National Zoo, the largest zoo in Malaysia and situated just outside the city limits and yet a world away from its hustle and bustle. Located 13 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur, the National Zoo houses some 200 species of animal, bird and reptiles, while the aquarium has 80 species of marine and fresh-water life. Within the extensive grounds is an area for sea lions where visitors can see them being most active during feeding time.
Next, proceed to the Royal Selangor factory where upon arrival, you will be taken for a tour of the Pewter Gallery. The Gallery offers a host of interactive displays and fascinating exhibits, aimed at educating and titillating the sense. From the Gallery, we continue with the highlight of today’s tour – ‘School of Hard Knocks’. Using just a few simple tools (hammer, wooden mould, scraper), make a pewter dish personalised with your initials or message that you wish to engrave onto the dish. Step by step, the experienced pewtersmith will guide you through the simple processes of forming, scraping, polishing and packing. The finished dish is for you to keep, along with an apron as a momento. A personalised certificate will be presented to you to attest to your newfound skills.

The journey from Kuala Lumpur to Putra Jaya takes approximately 50 minutes via the highway. Our first stop will be Taman Warisan or Agricultural Heritage Park – a ‘living’ museum for mango, rubber, coca, palm oil, durian, jackfruit, herbs and etc. A demonstration on the entire rubber-manufacturing process from the time it is tapped and churned out as fully smoked sheets will be shown during the tour.
Next proceed to Putra Jaya Government Centre, there are numerous new government complexes located in this new township. The most imposing structure in Putrajaya is the thin pinkish Putra Mosque. Standing beside Dataran Putra and facing the Putrajaya Lake, it incorporates architectural elements from Turkestan, Kazakhstan and Morocco. Another eye-catching building is the Prime Minister’s office – Putra Perdana. Other interesting places are Putra Bridge, Prime Minister’s residence.

Proceed from departure point for a shopping tour to Malaysia’s very own Leather and Batik showroom. From here, take a ride to Petronas Twin Tower for photo shop before proceeding to Sunway Lagoon. Enjoy the many thrilling rides and slides at Sunway Lagoon at your own leisure.

ABORIGINE SETTLEMENT & ELEPHANT SANCTUARY
‘An adventurous outing’
The journey takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Our first stop is the Aborigine Settlement.
Kuala Gandah Elephant conservation was established in 1989 by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. The center is a base for the Elephant Relocation Team, which began the elephant translocation programme in 1974. The only one of its kind in Malaysia, the team is dedicated to locating, subduing and then translocating problem elephants from areas where their habitats are constantly being encroached by plantations and to other suitable habitats throughout the Peninsular such as Taman Negara. Over the past 25 yrs the centre has helped prevent the further declined of the elephant population by relocating more than 300 wild elephants. Tour includes elephant ride, elephant feeding and for those who are brave, we suggest you bring a change of clothes and towel if you wish to participate in water activities such as swimming and bathing the elephants in the river.

PULAU KETAM ‘CRAB ISLAND TOUR’
‘Entire town, including its roads, build on stilts !’
Depart Kuala Lumpur for Port Klang in an hour – Malaysia’s busiest port. The 30 minute ferry ride offers a panoramic view of the busy harbour and the mangrove swamps of nearby islands.
On arrival at Pulau Ketam, take a leisurely stroll to see how an entire fishing community lives in a village where even the roads are build on stilts. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, catch the ferry for return trip to Port Klang. Drive up to view the fabulous palace of the Selangor Sultan.
Visit the Sultan Salahuddin Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque. Capped by one of the largest religious domes in the world , the mosque occupies about 36 acres of beautiful parkland surrounded by the Municipal Council Tower, State Library, State Museum and the Lake Gardens. Stop at Thean Hou Temple before we conclude our tour for the day.

FIREFLIES AND KUALA SELANGOR
‘The flashing Christmas tree’
Proceed to Kuala Selangor town in the quiet hamlet of Kampung Kuantan, one of the largest firefly colonies in the world.
On arrival at Kuala Selangor, visit “Kota Melawati” formerly known as “Fort Altingsburg” , the execution block, royal mausoleum and colonial buildings. A bird sanctuary park at the foot of Bukit Melawati is an ideal place for bird watchers to watch migratory birds. Also found are silvered – leaf monkeys, butterflies etc.
Next proceed to Kampung Kuantan – the highlight of the tour. Row upstream in a small unmotorised boat (tongkang) in the quiet darkness to witness the blinking trees. This scintillating display of fireflies portrays an image of a flashing Christmas tree. The synchronized, rhythmic flashing is produced by the thousands of fireflies found in the mangrove swamp of Kampung Kuantan. The skilled local oarsmen make this experience a memorable and unforgettable one.

WARNING: Non Smoking rules in shopping centres. This may come as a pleasant surprise to some and a downer to others but the tongue-in-cheek saying that smokers are a 'dying breed' is certainly true in Malaysian shopping malls. It's a fineable offence to smoke within a shopping mall - and in many restaurants of a limited size or which do not have an open-air area.
